Claude Cowork & Skills: Hands-On Builder Workshop

Claude Cowork extends the familiar Claude chat interface into an agentic workspace: it can read and write files on your computer, run tasks on a schedule, connect to your online accounts, and carry out multi-step work autonomously. This workshop covers what separates Cowork from regular chat, with a focus on Skills—reusable instruction packages that encode your workflows so Claude performs them consistently—including what Skills can contain, when to write one, and how to build one well.

We'll also examine sub-agents: what they are, why delegating to them keeps context clean and costs down, and where to place them in agentic prompts. The second half is hands-on: attendees will author their own Skill from scratch and build an agentic loop using Scheduled Tasks, leaving with automation experience they can apply immediately.

To participate in the live exercises, bring a laptop with the Claude desktop app installed, an active paid Claude account (Claude Max recommended), and a willingness to connect Claude to at least one online account (e.g., email or calendar) during the session.
