Topic: Beyond the Application: Sourcing, Networking & Strategic Outreach

Guest Speaker : Jaclyn Lilly

Official Title: Talent Acquisition

In this interactive session, we’ll explore how to approach a job search beyond simply submitting applications, including how to identify the right contacts, develop a strategic outreach approach, and navigate the current market. I’ll bring an example and plan to walk through my approach to sourcing and networking, share insights on how candidates can stand out, and discuss practical ways to build connections with people at target companies. We’ll then open it up for Q&A and a live exercise, where attendees can bring a recent application, a company they’re targeting, or a role they’re interested in, and we’ll work through it. This will be a collaborative, hands-on discussion rather than a formal presentation, so come ready to ask questions, share examples, and learn from one another.
